As requested, I will post more must-haves and packing suggestions.
I have suggested before not to stay in Disney because it saves money. One of the upsides is that some resorts have a washer and dryer in your suite. You can pack much less clothes.
For a seven day stay:
Kids:
4 tshirts
4 shorts
1 jacket
1 pair of pants
1 dressy outfit (for a dinner show)
5 pairs of socks and underwear
1 pair of good tennis shoes
1 pair of boat or light sneakers
1 pair of flip-flops/ sandals
1 pair of wet shoes/swimshoes
1 beach towel
2 swimsuits (if weather is permitting otherwise 1)
Please list if I left anything out for kids or any suggestions to add in comments!
Adults
3-4 outfits for parks
1 jacket
1 pair of pants
4 pairs of socks and underwear
1 dressy outfit
1 pair of good tennis shoes
1 pair of boat shoes or light sneakers
1 pair flip-flops/sandals
1 beachtowel
1-2 swimsuits
1 pair swim/wet shoes
As always hair ties and personal hygeine care items. With airplanes, be sure to find out what weights are allowed for shampoo and such. This packing list is specifically for those who are going to have access to a washer and dryer.
I cannot stress how in the wave pool at Typhoon Lagoon these shoes saved us. They were shredded by the end of the day.
I also wanted to add SUNGLASSES!
I always take a good pair for dinner shows and shopping, but for water parks and Disney Park, go to the Dollar Tree before your trip and buy two pairs of descent sunglasses for every member of your party. They will be $1 each and it will save you losing an expensive pair of sunglasses.
As always, comment and let me know anything I may have forgotten.
Below there is a picture of a pair of water shoes at Walmart for $8. My girls have these. They work great and the kids do not have to go barefoot.
